Engraving - The paper is placed on the press face down above the inked plate. It is then printed by pressure coming down on the back of the sheet while the front of the sheet meets with the plate. This sandwich effect creates the raised lettering and bruise on the back of the printed paper that are both classic features of engraver.

Foil Stamping - Printing process that fuses foil to paper. A thin layer of foil is pressed between a piece of paper and a heated die. The first ink coloryou chooseis included in the price of your order (invitation, accessory cards and envelopes). You may choose up to 2 ink colors per printed item (i.e. you can choose black & espresso for your invitation, and then gold & silver for your RSVP card, etc.). If you use the same 2 ink colors throughout your entire invitation ensemble, you will only be charged once, across all of your printed pieces (i.e. if you choose red & gold for your invitation, RSVP card and outer envelope, you will only be charged once for that 2nd ink color).

My daughter loves these for her upcoming wedding. We customized the colors and monogram - used an ecru background with crimson details and black wording & border for the 12-13-14 wedding. I loved how easy it was to customize everything! A couple items of note: First, I chose the option to have them unassembled and didn't realize that we had to manually stick the actual invitation on the black border. However, the company provided the special stickers and we just ended up having a good time! Second, the card stock is substantial and since we are also including an info card it is raising the postage to $0.70. Overall, would not change a thing....love them....great quality! I just received my invites today (Nov. 20, 2012). When I opened the box, I was so excited to see how amazing these are and well done!
